DICE.COM SOCIAL INFLUENCERS

Dice.com is the leading online career marketplace for technologists at every stage of their careers, serving both job seekers and recruitment consultants alike. Its brand persona is that of a trusted mentor who creates and fosters meaningful connections across the technology industry.

CHALLENGE

We needed to find a way for Dice.com to move beyond the transactional recruiting and hiring relationship between technologists and recruiters or hiring organizations. We wanted to draw attention to Dice.com's helpful and insightful resources from like-minded creators. Relating to, and connecting with, a younger audience who are looking to take the first step early in their careers and assume their first leadership role within a company.

OUR APPROACH

An influencer driven plan would allow us to find and foster a digital community of technologists and connect with them in a more consumer-friendly, authentic manner. We completed a comprehensive deep dive into influencer profiles and audience data to find the right talent for partnership, including:

  • A thorough audit of talent profiles for brand fit, tone, and style, as well as to ensure brand safety and that no previous competetitors had been mentioned in influencers' organic or paid content.
  • Vetted influencers' audience data to ensure our target audience was aligned and a match for the brand.

INSIGHT

Technologists who are early in their careers and looking for that first leadership role are seeking resources and career advice from people whose careers approximate their interests. Aligning with influencer talent who already have careers at tech-hubs like Google, Microsoft, etc. would enable Dice.com to organically reach these audiences and establish a new community to build on.

STRATEGY

We wanted to inspire and encourage technologists with the message that it is never too late to #LevelUpWithDice where you will find the resources and insights you need to elevate your career at any stage.

INSTAGRAM

  • Influencers took to Instagram Stories via the Q&A sticker to get their audience involved and let them drive the conversation around what career advice they were seeking. Influencers linked helpful Dice.com resources to address audience questions placing Dice.com at the forefront of the conversation as the wise mentor supporting the empowerment of others.
  • Influencers then used their Instagram feed to create conversation around career resources that could help their audience #LevelUpWithDice, with the opportunity for one lucky follower to win a gift card to Level Up their career.

YOUTUBE

  • Influencers focused the conversation on resources they'd wished they had when they were trying to Level Up their careers. They highlighted helpful Dice.com resources and content to give their audience the edge, once again driving home the meaningful connections Dice.com delivers in the tech space.
