In July, it was announced that Davis Elen Advertising would be one of seven McDonald’s Co-op Agencies of the future. Davis Elen and the other six groups will be the only agencies authorized to do local McDonald’s advertising in the United States.
The announcement came after a pitch process where over forty agencies were required to justify their capabilities. The process culminated in a live presentation in Chicago, where each team had to demonstrate their strategic, analytic and creative thinking on a breakfast assignment.
McDonald’s made this move in order to better engage with its customers and create more cohesive national messaging.
Prior to this, 60 agencies had worked for local McDonald’s Co-Ops.
